UniCal ("we", "our", or "us") operates the UniCal mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy
explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are securely managed
by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text. You may also use the App as a guest
without creating an account.
Locally Stored Preferences
We store the following data on your device using local storage:
Your favorited events and clubs
Notification preferences
Guest mode preference
This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Event and Club Data
The App displays event and club information aggregated from publicly available sources, including
public Instagram and Facebook pages of University of Queensland clubs and societies. This is publicly
available information and does not include any personal data of users.
